I also think we should flood these guys from the FAA CWO Transition Core Team's email including Chuck Miller (acting CWO PIM whose name is on the powerpoint) and David Grizzle (FAA COO whose plan this is in the first place, regardless of sequester). Most of these guys and gals are weather people according to their title and they didn't have any objection to this plan in the making of it?! They should all be ashamed of themselves! And laying low because your job might be on the line doesn't cut it when it comes to aviation safety. That's what the whistleblowers laws are for. All I could find on these guys was on the FAA website where you can get their physical address. I'm sure their FAA email is pretty standard, ie, joeschmoe@faa.gov. Does anyone know the standard FAA email address format???

"Thank you for your e-mail. I was aware of these plans, but had not previously seen the details that you attached. This topic is tentatively on our agenda for the next meeting of the NOAA National Data Stewardship Team (May 9)."

The details I attached was the transition plan pdf file.

So heres where we stand now. The state climatologist above was aware of the plans. The NWS MIC quoted in this story touch.baltimoresun.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-75664388/
says they were told of the plans earlier this month.
The CO says nothing official has been decided and Joe Calamita claims that the Transition Plan was a draft that shouldn't have been released.
I wonder who the liars are.

One suggestion: someone throw info on this stuff on big major forums like Something Awful and Reddit. Our best hope is outrage, and this might keep the FAA from doing this in the dark.

NICE! The more we get to these Senators, the better! It would help most to get the word to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the Subcomittee on Aviation Operations, Safety, and Security members! Have your Senator pass the information on to them.
