Well done Senator Cantwell!! Well done sir! Everything from the Senator in this ammendment is a "Mike drop" for sure! Not like I've never gotten complaints from upstairs over a BKN009 and urged it to be changed to a BKN010 for example instead. We all here know the significance between the two sky conditions...

Thanks Flyguy for this! This is amazing! I'm guessing the crap at Spokane angered the Senator. Thanks for this post. This gives me hope for sure.

The vote on the re-authorization bill probably won't take place until the summer.

Senator Cantwell’s (WA) CWO amendment passed “as modified” yesterday during the markup session of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation for the 2016-2017 Reauthorization for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). One HUGE step closer to a vote on the Senate floor in the next couple months. We continue to fight as some of our team are back in D.C. again this week. It's uplifting to see the CWO issue is garnering the right attention and gathering momentum.

Good sign, but still a long way to go, this has to get through Full Senate and House. I don't see anything that would snag this one provision in either place, but Congress can do weird things at times.
