Question, I've noticed alot of BLSN in present wx section of Obs. with vis 7sm or higher. CWO's doing this and LAWRS. I do not agree with this as this is not a obstruction or present wx with the vis 7sm or higher, I looked at 7900.5 and it wasn't very clear. I stop using BLSN when vis increases to 7sm or higher. Whats the correct format for using this. Thanks.

BLSN is not reportable unless the VIS <7SM - Paragraph 10.3, unless operationally significant. Previous editions of 7900.5 established the <7SM as defining "operationally significant", as explained by FAA & NWS. We don't report obscurations if the VIS is 7 or higher, but I can foresee the day that we have just had a snowfall and the wind turns gusty blowing snow across the runway - prevailing VIS might still be 10SM, but the gusts might give short blasts of BLSN dropping the VIS within a small area of the airport much lower.

High cirrus that only human observers are reporting. The ASOS's are all running CLR.
One of the ASOS stations has missing winds and another one has 5 miles with haze when everyone else has 10 miles.
