Am I the only one that thinks we should close the Weather Stations down for a couple weeks. Things are getting bad and look to get worse. Not a lot of aircraft flying these days, ATC not very busy. The risk for me getting this and ending up dead is not worth the reward anymore. This is a entirely different situation than anything thats ever happened in the past. We work out of a closet sized office, one person get sick the rest will follow most likely. Haven't been able to purchase any hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes or Lysol spray for office maybe FAA/company should supply these things.

The FAA should give you wipes sanitizers...etc...the tower/tracon has bought box loads of this stuff for every room in the complex... they bought this stuff for everybody a couple weeks ago... also in place is wx people use one door and ATC uses another door and tech ops are off site...because logic would dictate that one of the controllers will be infected first just due to statistics and more of them, hence a higher probability, then take down the entire building...they are trying to avoid that here...as far as shut down and have ASLOP run auto, thats another disaster in itself...not only safety wise for aviation, but the FAA in its infinite stupidity will say leave it like that after this all passes...

Also some facilities aren't located in the tower- those places are likely going to be fine.

We're following cleanliness and security provisions as directed. No tower here. Maintaining 6'+ distance between employees when 2 or more of us have to be here at once. Nobody wants to get sick, I get that and will follow directives... BUT THIS IS NOT WORTH PANIC. Watch out for setting precedents for possible future closures.

We work at an essential service - even one aircraft justifies accurate weather reporting, which stand-alone aslop is not capable of. If the reward is not worth it to you (and that includes the sense that we are performing essential service) then it is time for you to quit. Period. If you worked for me personally, I would invite you to leave even sooner... BTW, we have adequate cleaning supplies...
