Does anybody fix this? Now on day 6 with having to call ATCT with the observation and enter into AISR. Reported to everyone, knowing it is an FTI or phone line problem. Everyone seems to not care because we are getting the observations to the people who need it.

We have had that very same problem at our station a while back, Was out for many days, How it got fixed was our local NWS Tech made many phone calls and emails to someone over this and all it took was a reset of equipment and were up and running again, Wow

we had that scenerio for about a month...ended up the NWS, like ralph said, had to get on the stick and start the process of a fix...FAA could care less....was a telco/FTI issue downstream somewhere...additionally, once we put the obs in AISR, ATC can get it via their own network...but in our case NIDS had the metar on it and we didnt have to call them...based on our situation, the following factual conclusion was....ATC could care less, FAA tech ops could care less, and telco company was clueless on what we did and why we are here...also another fact here is ...ATC does not update atis with the official weather like they are suppose to...and in some cases, they make their on weather up and use it ,instead what we put out...as a pilot i catch them doing that because i can monitor them from the office with my hand held radio...and i did catch them playing games in the air...what ATIS had and what i had on the metar in the cockpit was 2 different things...idiots!!

Yeah, I think I understand the whole process. AOMC cannot do anything except call it into NEMC. NEMC reports it to the local tech ops. They check it, find everything to be OK and report back to NEMC. Then NEMC reports it to FTI, who in turns always states their lines are fine and asks the local NWS tech to check their cables. NWS tech reports that their equipment is functioning fine. Now the party begins. FTI calls the local phone company to check their lines. The phone company says their lines are fine. So everything is working - NOT. It is almost always a problem at FTI, yet we all have to go through this dance every time there is an ADAS outage. Eventually, FTI will discover the issue, reset/replace where it needs and like magic, it finally gets fixed.
Wait until someone realizes that while the ADAS is down so is the ALDARS. Then maybe someone will look at this process and try and fix it.
ATCT can pull up the observation on FIDIO
Have a good day all!

Everyone seems to not care because we are getting the observations to the people who need it. Yeah, they eventually fix it... Our internet is so slow that AISR is a pain. ATC take our obs on the phone, but they just laugh at us, sometimes out loud, and the errors on their transcription are horrible. We've gone back to monitoring ADAS and filing CORs for transmission when ADAS comes back up. To fix: call your systems operations center, get a trouble ticket started; get your obs out however works; reset the outgoing modem (likely in your office near the ACU) - we do this weekly at the suggestion of the NWS. That's all we can do... SOC trouble ticket will trigger telco to come fix something that is as simple as resetting modems between your office and the ADAS downlink. In my 24 years here its actually been a phone link problem 3 times. It looks like they would rather throw away money than accept responsibility to get out of their chairs and reset modems (at least one in their own office...). Our SSC techs show up twice a month - so modem resets take time... They need to clean the satellite uplink and aim the dish... but that takes a contractor... Annoying your ATCs gets the fastest results. Cynicism just gets you an ulcer. Keep up the great work getting obs out despite obstacles.
