At least the FCTs had the real PATCO fighting for their jobs: www.stuckmic.com/contract-tower-employment/23853-so-i-guess-contract-towers-arent-clear-yet-2.htmlElite Member patco's Avatar Offline 121 posts patco PATCO President Florida Re: So I guess the contract towers aren't in the clear yet? Posted: Yesterday, 08:47 PM It is good news that the contract towers will remain open. The controllers should have never been used as pawns in the sequester. I don't think that was posted by Jerry Tuso. The link is to the old PATCO. The symbol for our PATCO is a control tower with a lightning bolt.

I'm not sure if the old PATCO represent any towers at this time.

unionreview.com/will-real-patco-please-standI remember reading this a few years ago. I don't think Jerry and Ron Taylor get along anymore. I think they both represent FCTs, but the Ron Taylor PATCO does not represent weather observers, to my knowledge.

That's not entirely true. When I first started in a CWO, it was co-located with a flight service station. There was one controller who worked there, who had gone out on strike years before. But because his Dad was good friends with a Congressman, he got his job and career back.

I received this info today but it needs to be double checked to confirm.. "Contract weather observers at 121 airports nationwide, whose jobs were in imminent jeopardy, got a temporary reprieve Wednesday. The FAA said it is deferring action on a plan to shift the responsibility for weather monitoring from the contractors to air traffic controllers. All the weather observing contracts would be extended through Sept. 30 “to allow for more stakeholder input on how to proceed going forward,” the FAA said Wednesday." Thanks Ron, would PATCO81 consider representing any CWO's?

So, I can assume Ron Taylor is presidet of the patco that represents the contract towers? does anyone know who, if anyone, is representing the CWO's? I know SOMEBODY is taking 2 hours of my pay every month. Why didn't we get this info from the patco that represents us?

How sad is it that we hear this news from Ron Taylor and not Jerry Tuso! And thank you Ron for posting this here for us. I wish we had the same level of information from our own PATCO.

Our PATCO probably has an office in the Cayman Islands...

Seems they are going the way of SEIU 100 now...take our dues and don't even bother to keep us informed!
