UPDATE: My OPL went to OKC for a week or so for classes and he got to speak with a few folks high up in the NWS HQ and they have plans to hand the Certification testing and the Station inspections for us over to the FAA. Now when that officially will come down, he does not know. As of now, he has not received a memorandum of any sort yet from our NWS Region telling them to not do any station inspections or test and certify any new weather observers.
