I'm being "Phased Out" at my weather office and want to make sure I'm getting my severance pay. Who do I talk to? Our Union rep quit last week so he is out of the question.
Thanks

Answers: a.) PATCO b.) I was going to be the new union rep, but then I found out I was being let go. c.) Yes d.) New Contract e.) I'm full time, being reduced to part time and then phased out, because I'm not a forecaster. Although the hours I would have worked didn't require forecasting.

You are not being phased out. There is a new requirement for the job and you no longer meet the requirement. The severance pay issue deals with a reduction in force due to a reduction of hours. The requirement by the Navy is for a forecaster qualified individual.
