I'm new at this station and discussed this OB with the SWO which said this is acceptable. Every bit of my training and knowledge screams this is incorrect. I've legit lost sleep over this. I have also learned since the 7900 is so vague at times that procedures and errors tend to vary from station to station contractor to contractor.
Combo Remarks? Since when is this acceptable? I get the logic behind it but my experience, training and interpretation of the 7900 says they should be separate.
TCU remark also bothers me. I was always told to put a dash or AND between directions just like breaking up the directions in 90° sections. However, this is not at all covered in the 7900 as far as I could find and leans heavily on past station/contractor preference and military training.
How would you do this OB? Would this be an error at your station?

first define combo remarks?
This metar is correct as entered. the only difference I might have with it is the lack of a LTG location remark. I know the LTG and CB are in the same location, but 7900 does not allow for omitting the LTG location remark.

right...the LTG location was omitted. I would have entered...OCNL LTGIC DSNT NE CB DSNT NE MOV NE
in the old FMH-1...before ASOS...it stated you could omit the LTG location if it was the same as the CB or TS. old code...CB DSNT NE MOVG NE OCNL LTGIC
