Upon Entry on Duty it has been optional to join PATCO at our site. Has anyone ever not joined? If you have, and worked has anyone tried to leave and still retain employment?

union membership is not a condition of employment. if an employee that is a union member cancels their membership, they certainly won't lose their job.

That about sums it up..... skobie PS - Of course I should mention, you can only drop Union membership completely (no dues to pay either) in a "Right to Work" state. Otherwise, you can still drop your Union membership in other states, but must still pay an Association fee (usually equal to or slightly less than Union Dues). And if 50% of your CWO site decides to drop Union membership, you can recede your site from the Union you belong to, but you will no longer have a CBA and will revert back to the Wage Determination.
