Why extend all the way to July 31? I smell a rat , could they (faa) be up to something?

I totally agree. What a waste of time for the contractors and supervisors.
The FAA is up to something...

So all the new contractors that put in bids, and secured all the financing and followed all the rules of the bid process are being told...um wait till next year?...Thats total FAA arrogance ...Again the FAA shows its true colors and its contempt for rules and order...And yes they are up to no good trying to figure out how to get around congressional mandates and trying to still figure a way to shut down the program...

Well we have 3 1/2 months until the contract expires. Anybody know what's going on Aug 01,2020? Another extension? Till when? Contract Award seems unlikely due to the short amount of time but of course what do I know. Sure do wish the powers to be would be more transparent.

They should waive badges for non-tower CWOs, especially given COVID.

All the CWO contracts have been extended until April 1, 2021. Then the FAA will have 6 one month extensions built in for a total of a one year extension if needed. I expect that they are monitoring the COVID issue and depending on when we get a vaccine in place and the virus under control that is when they release a new SIR and present and new contractors can submit a new bid for a longer contract.

So what happens now with any submitted contract changes that we have asked for thru the Union. Shouldn't they still be negotiated...Or do we loose out on another year of request for change.
