Did anyone notice that the Patco Union Dues increased from one hour per pay period to 1.5 hr per pay period? Apparently the increase happened with the pay increase on October 1, 2020 (the new fiscal year). Why didn't Patco send a letter out to its members about the increase in dues? The latest Patco letter received was dated March 16, 2021, which did not even mention an increase in dues. For a 50% increase, I expect more from the union besides annual pay raises, like transparency or more representation during CBA negotiations.

Sprite, you are either the nastiest liar I've read yet on this board, or your contractor is risking a lawsuit from PATCO. Knowing many of the contractors, I'd say it's much more likely the former. IF you're telling the truth, you need to file a grievance with the union, talking to your contractor first. The dues are 2 hours per month if you work 30 hours or more per week, one hour per month if less. The number "1.5" is a fabrication.
Schadenfreude: a psychological malady that manifests itself by taking delight in the misery of others - particularly if the sufferer causes the misery. Schadenfreude is progressive - like any addiction, it requires progressively larger "fixes" to achieve the same high, and eventually becomes sexualized. This is a truly dangerous malady. There used to be another idiot who had personal issues with PATCO, that were largely false - are you, Sprite, the same person? You need to seek professional help. That no one has replied to you for 5 days about this should tell you something - we're all aware of your psychosis and propensity to prevaricate.

It was a simple yes or no question. I just wanted to know if anyone received a letter from Patco about raising dues. Yes, I know union dues are supposed to be 2 hours per month (1 hour per pay period) for full timers, which is what I was paying prior to Oct 1, 2020. After which, I am now paying 3 hours per month (1.5 hours per pay period). Have you checked your latest paystub and compared it to the 9/16-9/30/2020 paystub? I take the lack of response to mean (1) that no one had noticed the due increase on their paystubs, (2) that no one bothered to admit that they did not receive a letter, or (3) hardly anyone reads this forum anymore. BTW, thanks for the free advice, Freud. Now we know what kind of person you are.

Sprite, you are a liar, and are in need of mental health help, period. No one got an increase in dues or a letter from PATCO. I did check, both my stub and with PATCO - unlike you, I get along with them just fine and understand their function and role in our industry, which they do a good job of. I've lost any respect I had for you - I have no patience with liars trying to stir something - I had enough of Rich slandering PATCO to put up with another one or Rich under a different pseudonym. Let's keep this forum clean of crap and solely devoted to that which is truly helpful for our industry. On a personal note: you really don't know me - I was trying to help you - and I'm soon ready to retire after 25 years here and be done with things. See my other posts under northwx and toofarnorth - that might give you a better idea if you're interested. The reason no one posted a reply to your first calumny before me is that they (usually me too) just don't care to argue with a liar and we all know who you are and your history of lying about PATCO. I'm just the first to stand up and call you out this time.

I am not a liar, you a-hole. My 9/16-9/30/20 paystub says $29.35 hourly and union dues $29.35. My 10/1-10/15/20 paystub says $30.00 hourly and union dues $45.00. Of course every region is different on pay. So I am not lying. You are the one who needs mental help. You are the one stirring up misery. My husband wants to put a boot up your ass. You should retire early you washed up SOB. Don't reply back, you psychopath.

Too Funny. I wish more ppl were on this forum to witness this childlike behavior. I tend to believe that "new members" are based somewhere in Washington D.C. and are secretly part of the swamp.

My guess is Sprite is just someone in foggy bottom (or is it soggy bottom?) (thanks weatherwatcher - you're correct - no weather observer would lie so boldly) playing at trying to disturb us - knowing that many of us are negotiating new CBAs. The FAA has tried this before - to intimidate and divide us - attempting to get us to either drop the union or negotiate for smaller raises. If a private business tried that, the NLRB would be all over them, as it's a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, unfortunately not provable here because she/he/it won't be provably identifiable.
I've tried to be helpful on everything I've written on this board - including when I've called out the mentally disturbed. So Sprite can't handle a dose of truth? That's an admission of guilt folks. I just wish they'd stop the bs. They're going to lose the shutdown battle too. Hey Sprite, threatening me with physical harm should get you fired. It would if you worked for me, without recourse to PATCO, who would not defend you. You would be fired even if you work for the FAA. As for my retirement - it will happen someday, but don't hold your breath - I like my job and the people I work with, and I'm not in a hurry. I'm close enough to retirement that I refuse to put up with threats and name-calling from faceless bureaucraps hiding behind pseudonyms.
