Thought I would finally sign up and post after watching this board for a long time…As a long time pilot and meteorologist, i see the observation program, which was thrown under the bus by the NWS years ago and the FAA and their contractors, trying to screw observers every chance they get…I have seen/heard ATC numerous times laughing off weather and they think ASOS/AWOS is “funny” and it’s really not a serious position/profession…so anyway, enough for now…will post as time permits as we fly in the airspace and observe ….
