I always knew Steve Derrickson was an arrogant SOB when I first communicated with him and his final email he sent to us supervisor's proved that. Funny this is the guy who was cutting cost against our best interest and now he wants to negotiate for us.
Good Afternoon Everyone,
In a few minutes, I will transmit the final payroll and I would like to leave you all with a few final thoughts and end of contract items.
Brendan and Alex are no longer in the business and no longer reachable, by email or phone.
My email is tied to the web site, as it’s part of the domain. I am not going to keep the web site up, so my email will be terminated shortly. You can email me at ibexpaystubs@gmail.com. As the business will no longer exist, email will be checked very infrequently. W-2’s will still be sent next January, so don’t worry about those.
You union(s) sucks…….the money right out of you. As I’m no longer a party to a CBA, I can tell you it’s a big waste of your money, IMO. You have no way of striking and thus, no bargaining power. You will always be at thew mercy of your employer. It was truly comical what some of you thought the union could do last year. NLRB charges? Was a really good laugh, so thanks for that. You should form your own bargaining group, or if interested, I can look into forming a Union and charge you half the price to do the same amount of work, and accomplish exactly the same thing, which would be wage increases and not much else. But again, your at the mercy of the employer when it comes to wage increases.
Just FYI, your employer bid and was awarded your groups at a shockingly low price. I would be out of business if I were to attempt the work at their prices, thus the reason I am out of business, lol. Businesses exist to make money. I would guess they’ll be looking for cost cutting measures soon but who knows.
And for those of you who don’t know, it was me that found the lobbying group that saved the wx program. If it weren’t for them, there wouldn’t be jobs today. So for those that don’t contribute to the USCWOA, be ashamed of yourselves, because without them and the others that support you, you’d be out of business. You can also thanks Rich Carlson, as he was one of the others that helped get things started. DMS, Midwest and RNR also became contributors. Anyone unnamed was no help and they too have us to thank for them having contracts right now.
Best wishes to all!!
Steve
