I just reread your post from earlier today on the locked thread and I noticed you said the contracts will likely be extended beyond Jun 1. Is this info coming from your ATM as well? If so why are they telling your ATM and not the contractors? It also seems strange to me that they already know they won't resolve the protest in the next month, is that because they will be evaluating all the sites? Thanks.

Can you also ask your ATM why the FAA has already sent someone from DC to several of the major airports in the NE to discuss placement of the OID's in the tower. Thanks again.

No need to respond atl. I just spoke with an NWS source who confirmed the stations and dates on the closure list circulating are accurate. Plans are subject to change though.

Tip....If you call the NWS to confirm tell them that you have seen the FAA list instead of asking if the list exists.

Many of the remote sites are staying open. Why would they keep the major AK sites open while closing ORD ATL etc?

Not to sound down, but the main issue for us is we have a bad title - Contractor. I pray for the best but prepare for the worse.

I believe all the AK sites that were on on the CWO closure list have FAA ATC towers. Makes sense that the other locations would remain open.
