The purpose of this Request for offers is to seek competent and qualified contractors for the Kitchen Equipment Replacement at the Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC).
Summary of Work:
Demolition
Remove existing kitchen equipment. Kitchen equipment in the front include, under-counter refrigerator, flat top griddle, table top fryer and hood with duct. Kitchen in the back include six burner range with attached griddle, steamer, broiler, and hood with duct. Contractor shall also remove two existing fire extinguishing systems.
New Equipment in the back: All the new equipment shall have quick release disconnect.
Hood: Supply and install two each of a type 1 Captive Air exhaust hood, model no. ND2. Hoods shall be canopy style, pre-piped for fire extinguisher.
Size – 11’-0” Built-in, (2) 11’-0” Section, installed back to back
Includes:
(3) 150w Recessed Incandesant Lights
The Autostart System
Thermal Sensors & controllers installed in hood. Autostart system will automatically start Exhaust/Supply fans by use of factory installed thermostats. Hoods shall be designed to comply with IMC 507.2.1.1 extractor removal tool.
Fire Suppressor: Supply and install one each Ansul System – Ansul-R-102-AREF-1T-05 Fire Protection System – Gas Valve (AREF) complete system including appliance drops and recessed detection brackets, with field installation by qualified personnel.
Wall: Supply and install double sided Stainless Steel wall approximately 4” thick and 5’ high.
Ductwork: Supply and install duct work from hood to fan on roof. Ducts shall have double layer fire wrapping. Contractor may use existing make-up air.
Range: Supply and install one each gas fuel 6 burner heavy duty range with minimum 30000 btu per burner. Range shall have 18000 btu 24” char broiler and 250000 btu convection oven.
Fryer: Supply and install 2 new each gas fuel 40 lbs, 90000 btu fryer, Vulcan Model# LG300-2 or approved equal.
Kettle: Supply and install a new gas fuel, jacketed, 20 gallon tilting steam kettle.
Freezer: Supply and install a new work top 27” wide freezer, Turbo Air Model# TWF-28SD-D2 or approved equal.
Proffer: Provide a new Insulated holding and proofing cabinets, Alto Sham Model# 1200-S
Equipment in the front: All the new equipment shall have quick release disconnect.

3.6.1-1 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (January 2010)
(a) Definition. Small business concern, as used in this clause, means a concern, including its affiliates, that is independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, and qualified as a small business under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) standards in this Screening Information Request (SIR) at the time of submission of offer.
(b) General.
(1) Information and/or offers are requested only from small business concerns. Information and/or offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
(2) Any award resulting from this SIR will be made to a small business concern.
