Greetings, I have looked at the old statement of work and NOWHERE does it state that part of our job description it to train tower personnel.
I would respectfully decline and ask that the powers to be contact our contractor to see if I am allowed to do this.
I also do not always have the personnel on duty to escort people into our office. Yes, to get to our location requires an escort and only 2 people are allowed to do that.
I'm just sayin'.

Does anyone else think the reason they put the 16 hours of admin time for the supervisor, part of which for "liasing with tower personnel" might have been there to train the controllers to take over? They had planned for the new contracts to go into effect starting in October 2012 giving ample time for training before the take over dates that have been proposed. The wheels on this whole thing might have been turning long before we even knew. Well I guess the protests might have thrown a wrench in the works if that was their thinking.

I look at the results and recommendations of the FAA OES 2009 report as putting the wheels in motion.
