There is a part time wx obs position available at KFWA Fort Wayne, In.
This entails working any shift (24/7) weekends, nights, holidays, vacations….…Hours will vary …
This CWO is located in a new FAA tower with tracon/cab. FAA clearances/ NWS certification is required.

What is the status of Ft. Wayne. I thought they were a C site now. How are they staying alive in all this?

They are not a C site...they are a B site which was reinstated back in May...They may get screwed again in Sept but for now they are back in business with an alledged 5 yr contract...with RNR...The ASOS is so crappy there...its broke more than operational...as with most sites...and word has it...no, the PT position is still open...Additionally, if they ever go to C ...the NWS would have NO Manned stations in there entire Forecast area...the only one in the country ...they dont count slop from ATC...
