It's all well and good to compile all the garbage observations coming out of ATC as noted in all the pages of "quality for 20 years" crap. The FAA is in denial of reality on that one....anyway ...are all the transcribed ATC observations being given to all users and I would think these multiple pages should land dab smack in the laps of the FAA as well...Posting this stuff here is good ,but we are preaching to the choir, but unless it gets to the end users and FAA...it will be all in vain, I think...

They also have to understand what they're getting. Otherwise it's noise.
Concentration should be given to situations where it's obvious ATC is blatantly disregarding ground conditions or is being negligent in ways that endanger safety. I think there's a little too much emphasis on minor errors, and not enough given to the major threats to safety like TS CLR, or HZ P0050 situations, +SN 20/19's or UP's.
They're also things that can be easily explained in a way some politician who doesn't know a Skew-T from a Model-T can easily understand, which is important.

I think one situation that is always occurring...TS start time matches pk wnd time. the airport has no advance warning about strong winds as the ATCT does not generally give TS/LTG location. I don't think LTG DSNT ALQDS adds much for the local airport area. also...ATCT many times uses edit mode to begin TS...so many times the speci to report the beginning does not get transmitted until 6 minutes after TS begins.

The folks compiling the error data are performing important work. Greatest Hits makes for great sound bites. And when needed, ALL of the data must be given to FAA, Congress, user groups and all other interested parties. Please don't in any way denigrate the work that has been done to help all of us keep the skies safe and us in work. Patterns can be useful. Safety gets attention.
