Not only is it bad enough that ATC screws up weather observations as noted on this forum...but NOW they are making up their on metars on ATIS...I put out the metar, as we have done for ages...and as a pilot i check atis on my radio, every now and then...and lo and behold some of these guys are now putting on ATIS whatever they want...last hour official metar is not what is on ATIS for this cycle...So i try to call to the cab...phone is off hook...So based on the stupidity of the FAA , this is what they want...ATC to screw it up and make up data now...this is not only stupid but very dangerous...Safety number 1? Total BS...Like one presidential candidate has said...these people are either incompetent or stupid...pick one.!!
