YAWN... just finished reviewing .5d (admin day): I see nothing threatening to us or otherwise earth-shattering. The aldars requirement only applies to hours of non-operation by augmenters. Most of the changes refer and codify the power grab by the FAA in removing/acknowledging the NWS from regulatory authority over aviation weather obs - most of which is already accomplished (see cynical money-game notes on other threads). I still find it very amusing that they require the FL stations and PHNL to report snow depth on the ground... and the typo in spelling Reagan when referring to KDCA (yes, I think that is a political statement). But no changes to our operations, coding, or job security. Another typo is in appendix A-2 FCM-H1 should be FMH1...
