This is the absolute hot off the press latest data on the SRMs. It also came with a note from my contact. It reads:
"We spent 3 days in Washington DC this week, working the Hill on the CWO issue. We are gaining traction but there are many Members of Congress and staffers that are not aware of the problem.
We worked on language to be submitted for the FAA Reauthorization and Appropriations bills to stop the FAA from moving forward with the (HWO Initiative).
The CWO community needs to get media attention on this issue. We will also continue to try to do the same.
Keep up the great effort!"
I will also say that, regardless of the SRM "results" and even if you're station did or didn't find a "high hazard", this is not over by a long shot. We need to re-double our efforts on writing letters, mass emailing, phone calling, etc. to members of the Industry Groups, Congresspeople, contacts you have and any other people you feel are important in this battle to let them know things like what you experienced at your local SRM, latest information you have come across that helps our cause (be specific and give factual or actual information, not hearsay), reiterating what's important (safety first), etc. Get a hold of any Congressional Aides you have been working with and get on the same page with them. Think of strategies to overcome the enemy of this feat (the FAA). I certainly will be. We know there are people working for us, but we need to help ourselves too. Good luck and feel free to share things privately and not on this main message board as we know the FAA is watching.
