NDRK made no sense since DRK is the contraction for dark. and I only pointed out the major errors...remarks out of order are a given. that shows the brilliance of the FAA putting AFSS in town instead of the airport.

once again a former B site...amarillo...turned over to the atct...and a near severe TS is allowed to strike the airport without warning. ALDARS reports VCTS for 12 minutes..then no TS as winds gust even higher. I assume that any B sites that go to the tower in the next go round will not be required to do anything during a TS event...except allow ALDARS which will continue to crank out it's DSNT LTG garbage.

Those were 3 consecutive reports. If a thunderstorm ended at 2356Z, it had to begin at 2341Z or earlier.
Why then was there no thunderstorm reported on the 2353Z METAR? That is tantamount to a missed
thunderstorm report!

No offense to the little people community, but one would have to be a midget for shallow ground fog to
reduce horizontal visibility that much.

And just how shallow could the fog have been, if its vertical visibilty was
100-200 feet? 6 feet or less is "shallow", not 100-200 feet!

From page 104 of the 7900.5C:

(a) For MIFG (shallow fog) to be coded, fog must cover part of the station, extend no
higher than 6 feet above the ground, with visibility more than 6 feet above the
ground 5/8SM or more, while the apparent visibility in the fog layer is less than
5/8SM.
