So what's the FAA and their Quality Control crew going to do about this one? Pretty darn "High Risk" data missing I'd say. How do we send in a public complaint as an "external FAA Stakeholder"?

I don't know if I'd call the following "Missing Metars", but the ATC was absent from being able to edit the ASOS since they weren't logged in during normal working hours. By the way, this site was part of an Air Force Base Operating Service (BOS) Contract at a joint civilian/Air Force airport, where the new Base Commander decided he basically didn't need the observers editing ASOS, thereby leaving the FAA Federal Contract Tower to take over observing duties at this C-Level station. In addition, I was told that the Air Force (at least at this base) was not going to including Weather Observing as part of the next BOS Contract in about 2 years when bids are up. I hope the Air Force is not going rogue on their initial policy of ASOS stations always being edited by dedicated human observers (not LAWRS).
At any rate, the Base opens for business at 7AM ET (12Z) and closes at 11 PM ET (4Z), so I'm sure the Obstroller signed in to ASOS a bit before 12Z and then the sign-in expired at just before 21Z. Interestingly, they must of caught their mistake for the last ob of the evening (0353Z), signed in to take ASOS out of AUTO, then promptly took the time to sign back out of ASOS to put it back in to AUTO for their closing (and some of this garbage occurred during VFR conditions, mind you):

as usual, on the rare occasions the tower does get involved, they make their usual mess...evidenced here...
1. 2257 and 2357...TS in present wx...but dsnt ltg in remarks. 2240...no ltg/ts remarks. TS is within 5 miles of AP...WHERE IS IT...WHICH DIRECTION IS IT MOVING?? 2. 0155...incorrect vis entry 3. no data xmtd between 1706 and 2240. no metar xmtd at 0055. lots of blank spaces during significant weather 4. attn: ken and barbie...are you going to show this to the stakeholders?
