I make a nice income, and I stand on my own two feet and I have not ever been a member of a Union. So, I wish you the very best, and hope everything continues to work out for you. Have you ever worked for a deadbeat company that can't make their payroll?

I ask you, what is the Union doing for those locations that are presently Unionized, but are closing in April. Does one only react once the threat of not having a job directly effects them? I have read such things as, "the Union is nothing without the members", "We are Brothers and Sisters, and we stick together", but what I haven't seen is anyone doing anything about this mess. I haven't ever been part of a Union, nor do I wish to be, but I hate like hell to see people out of work. Have any of you, regardless of if you are affected or not by this even seeked out your Union Representative to find out what they are doing about any of this? I feel that PATCO is nothing more than a collector of your monies, and could care less about any of you. I just don't want to see any of you without a job, and trust me it is only going to get worse. Please take care of yourselves, and start demanding answers.OK...we should demand answers? Why hasn't Vero paid anyone and why did they wait until the night before the payroll was due to notify employees that the checks weren't coming? Is Vero going to be able to make the next payroll?

Now that we know that thunderstruck41 is a part of Vero's management it explains some of her nonsensical posts in this thread.
I wonder how irishwx's negotiations with his contractor for a raise worked out?

Any one else find it strange that the companies that consistently come up with wage increases year over year are able to pay their employees on time, yet the one that was on here complaining about the union and doesn't give their employees much more than the wage det in their CBA can't?
Charlene if Vero was having cash flow problems why didn't they refuse the awards the FAA gave them last month? If someone's house is in foreclosure they don't usually go and take a mortgage out on a second one.
