Actually two of the OEP35 sites are Level B sites, SAN & FLL , and many have lower scores than my site. Frankly I've heard so many rumors over the past 22 years that I summarily discount them now. They virtually never have more than a nugget of truth. That being said, I'm still very nervous about our future...but then that's being SOP since the mid 90s :-) .

I think in the end it's going to end up being how much gets cut permanently. If the FAA doesn't get hit too bad, we'll be fine for a while, if not, it could be trouble.
One thing that folks probably should do in the union is try to get it out there that we're a fairly cheap program that produces a good number of jobs where the folks in those will have a harder than average time translitioning to another line of work due to how unique it is (with many veterans to boot)

I'm not at one of the top 35 airports and I very worried. I have updated my resume on career builder. The writing is on the wall. Why don't we currently have contracts? Is it really cause one station got too many stations? Please? It's so they can make the cuts they need to make.

Well maybe they won't be addressing the contract situation on the next telcon. The contract officer is out of the office until 3/18!

My question is since the cuts will occur is, does anyone have any idea what the FAA considers part time? Is it closing at 11, open back up at 5, or close at midnight, open at 5 or 6. My station will probably go p/t. My team is already asking how many hours they / we will get. My weekend and graveyard help, as well as the other 2 full timers is already complaining. Being shut down 5 or 6 hours per day over one week is a 35 or 42 hour schedule difference. Most of the P/T sites close at midnight and reopen at 5:45. Some have slightly different hours that vary from site to site.

FU, the FAA rarely tells the vendors anything about the contract during conference calls. I'm doubtful they will but hopeful that your optimism is reality. I do agree with you that we should hear something soon. Hopefully within the next couple weeks.

I hear that the vendors rarely ask about the contracts. Maybe this time it will be different. LOL

I hope your right by my hopes are not too high. They need to cut to save money and the cuts will come at our cost. Money talks

I've been doing this job since 1994, got let go once by a contractor, because I had too much vacation time earned. Been an employee and a contractor in charge of one station. I work a part time job also along with the weather gig as of now. I enjoy my CWO job, but if it is gone I will do something else. I will not let these JOKERS rule my life.

Are there usually two meetings when they talk or is this a first?
