Pretty sure in parts of Biblical prophecy "a week" can be used for a time period of (7) seven years. Maybe Sam is studying the book of Daniel?? Or maybe not??

Well I Wonder if Sammy just got hung up on news update or just isn't going to do it. Little talk and no show. Hey it all pays the same... L

Our site switched from SEIU to PATCO several years ago because it took Ken Schneider over two years to return our calls. Also, Ken and our contractor concocted a phony CBA that negated our previously agreed upon pay increase that year. We asked our contractor for a copy of the CBA and he said "get it from your union". We filed a complaint with the DOL and won. The DOL asked the contractor and the union for a copy of the CBA and neither one could provide it because it didn't exist. The contractor had to pay us back pay and we had SEIU decertified as our union. Looks like Sam got his training from Ken Schneider.

Hey! Sam and Mark called me back! Sam promises a statement by the end of the week - I'll post. This week? I gather it all boils down to what the meaning of "end of the week" really means

The only reason, and I mean "THE ONLY"!!! reason, I have stayed with PATCO is because our negotiated wages and benefits are a lot more than the DOL Wage Determination. I believe some of the contractors out there would use that as a tool to lower our wages & benefits. We are pretty much up a s**t creek without a paddle...... Totally agree on "THE ONLY" reason. For the dues collected in a whole, we deserve much more communication than there has been. With email, web sites and social media we should be updated each month at a minimum and when something happens in between. As for the name of the lobbyists that are working to keep offices open (57 CWOs) that information should be transparent and provided to us. As a Union you have to show your members what you have done and what you plan on doing when the times are getting tough. No communication just shows a lack of service to the Union's lifeblood. Nobody I know has proof that there are lobbyists. Just words.

When I emailed Sam Sunday AM about no reply... his reply was, "Sorry, I got caught with an election, an 'ulp', and Mother's Day." Glad he's so dedicated to Mom. Maybe "by the end of the week" he really did mean 7 years, or was it after the tribulation? His tribulation? or the big one to come on the whole world? My patience is wearing too folks...

Mother's Day??? What a lame ass excuse. We pay him to represent us - not to visit Mom on Mother's Day. Not to say we shouldn't honor our mothers on Mother's Day but c'mon Sam you can come up with a better excuse than that...

This is a terrible time to change horses in mid-flood, but anyone want to touch base with the NLRB and find out how to form our own union? Would we have any clout - without the threat of PATCO ATCs striking in sympathy (obviously NATCA doesn't care)? Sam said we are valued members (last week, not a new call...), and while I didn't hear them snorting coke in the background like I did with several calls to the SEIU many years ago, one begins to wonder WHY there is no communication from PATCO. Sam, if you're reading this, get off your butt and write something please - talk to us, before our paranoia reaches critical level - of which it is close.

Not to say we shouldn't honor our mothers on Mother's Day but c'mon Sam you can come up with a better excuse than that... He is talking to employees who work 24/7/365. We can get things done when we work holidays.

Maybe we all should tell our contractor to stop dues withholding (if we can). That would definitely get him off his butt....

Just got off the phone with Sam. Yes he IS busy... He said he has been in contact with the south Florida U.S. congressional delegation who are on our side. PATCO has been in contact with other congress people, but his own representatives have been very receptive. Jerry Tuso has been lobbying on our behalf as well Sam said. If any of us haven't, call your congressman and senators and if you have already, please keep calling. Get your local and regional and national user groups informed and involved lobbying congress on our behalf. Stress SAFETY. Keep up the good work. Sam encourages all this, not just me. Not time to bail on PATCO yet. I'll be contacting Sam again soon and may report here with possibly more info.
