It's been confirmed at our A site and one of the core 35 airports....the CWO program is being eliminated.

I just heard the same thing....It is supposed to be announced 3/15. Ends 5/1. The only sites that will remain are some in Colororado and all of Alaska.

WHERE is this info coming from? The CWO sites in CO are DEN and APA. That makes no sense. However my contractor has heard this rumor too and is trying to track it down.

Yeah I heard it from my contractor as well. One of his station managers was shown the FAA memo by his tower chief.

When you say tower chief do you mean the ATM? Can you PM me and tell me your contractor because this sounds similar to what my contractor said and I'd like to know if this is coming from just one source or if it's starting to leak out from multiple sites.

I've confirmed the same unfortunate information through two reliable sources. The only difference is I'm hearing the contract will be dead on 15 July. Hopefully that is more accurate as it gives everyone a little more time to prepare.

Just spoke with my ATM and he hasn't heard anything about it but said he'll ask in the Telcon tomorrow morning and invited me to call afterwards. Why would only some ATMs have this info?

I may be off base but this is starting to smell a little fishy. My contractor just informed me that one site told him they'd be closing at the END of July. Now we have THREE different dates.

I contacted Jerry Tuso at PATCO, and he had not heard a thing about the CWO program being eliminated.
