Not to keep this issue going, but since the new contractors are on hold, no contracts signed, we are only surviving on extensions. If we are funded till Sept. 30th, why the specially funded extensions? My ATM said, yes, closing CWO's is an option, as well as the other options that have been mentioned. If we are safe why don't they have the balls to just tell us UP FRONT.

I honestly don't think the funding has much meaning and I am not entirely certain every contract has been funded through 9/30 but I am going to look into it. Either way, the FAA has to request funding before they know the whole story. If the contracts were to be funded through the end of the fiscal year it may be the FAA just being prudent. They can still terminate the contracts whenever they choose.
And with that I agree that this thread has become too long and often too off topic. It will now be closed. If anyone has any new and relevant info please start a new thread. And remeber, we're all in this together so please keep things respectfull.
